My MPOW H19 IPO speakers died today, the sides cracked at the sides from being stretched. Normally I would just fix them but, I’d already tried with superglue and this time they needed stripping down and gluing carefully with epoxy to strengthen them in the right places. I found getting them apart difficult (and my patience was MIA) so I ended up breaking them.

So I took pictures so show how you would take these apart properly if you weren’t in a “HULK SMASH!” mood

Back of Foam ear peice
Mechanism which attaches the foam ear piece to the speaker

The foam can be removed by twisting the foam piece and the back plate it is glued to anti-clockwise, while looking at the “R” or “L” labelled foam.

The ear pad removed

Four screw hold the speaker case together

For screws can then be removed to separate the speaker housing.

Clip for holding the wishbone bracket

Two clips on ether side can then be removed to free the wishbone bracket — which comes out by gently splaying it out.

Wishbone cover removed

Removing the two screws at the top of the wish bone allows the cover to be popped off (the wishbone has to be removed from the speaker case).

There are also two screws in the end of the lower arm which need to be removed before popping open the lower arm

Lower arm

The lower arm is just clipped together and can be popped open carefully with a plastic screwdriver.

Wishbone cable entry

The cable bracket can be removed from the wishbone by lining up the two keys on the metal bracket. I found it easier to first tease out the mechanisms cover (marked with “L” or “R”).

Headband

From there on its just a case of finding and removing the small screws holding the head band to the lower bracket.

Lower headband screws

The PCBs are held in with three screws.

Right PCB

The right side also contains the battery.

Left PCB

I hope someone finds this helpful.
